Pro Licensing Company Story

Our story begins in the fall of 1995.  Living in the northern state of North Dakota, it seemed like everyone raking their leaves, were filling large orange plastic pumpkin bags and displaying them in their front yard for Halloween.  My thought was, why are those not football helmets???  The journey began and I licensed my first product with the University of Nebraska.  We had some success selling Cornhusker Bags in Nebraska but I had bigger dreams. I wanted the NFL License. After a lot of research, I sent my samples and ideas to "NFL Properties" in New York.  I received my rejection letter in early July, 1996.  The NFL at that time was reducing the number of licensed vendors and was suggesting I contact a current NFL Vendor in the plastic bag category and see if the wanted to License my product.  I contacted a few companies but was rejected.  It was a scary time, wondering if any of these companies would now steal my idea.

With rejection, the excitement was taken away from my idea.  As time passed, I moved on to other ventures.

Fast forward 19 years, I met a company at the Sports Licensing Show in Las Vegas.  This large Company had many products and many Licenses, including NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, and NCAA.  Again, I was scared to share my idea but figured what do I have to lose.  They loved the idea and we worked out all the details for a License Royalty Agreement.  We worked together to design the Leaf Bags exactly how I envisioned them.  They even sent me to China to oversee production.  For the next three years, I worked closely with this company to help market and deliver the product to customers.  It was an exciting time!!!

During this process, I met with many other inventors with similar problems obtaining Licensing.  The NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA Licenses are very expensive and much harder to obtain today.  New inventors also have the fear of trusting their product to Companies they do not personally know.  I've visited with many inventors and told them my story.  I feel their pain and fears.  This is why I started the "Pro Licensing Company"...

  • "Pro Licensing Company" will provide a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement to ease any fears.
  • We will analyze the New product and give an honest opinion on the viability of the product.
  • We will determine if the product fits into our own license categories or whether we can partner with other Licensees.
  • We will create a Royalty License agreement that fits both parties.
  • We will provide research, development, manufacturing and marketing for the product.
  • We will ease the fears of being paid your Royalties on time!
